Prabhat Saini asked:

Wallpapers have evolved in meaning during the past couple of decades. In the past, wallpapers refer to a sticky big paper with various patterns that can be applied on walls in lieu of paint. Today, wallpapers refer to the image found on the desktop of a computer.

Although people can easily scan and upload a photo to serve as their desktop wallpapers, many tech-savvy individuals have found ways to adorn their computer screens with new and cool wallpapers. People no longer are contented with typical wallpapers like classic artworks, modern digital art, and sports cars.

Perhaps one of the more popular types of wallpapers are celebrity wallpapers. Celebrities have become icons in today’s society. Most people want to act like them, look them, and of course, be with them. It is therefore not surprising that wallpapers containing pictures of celebrities have become a hit among many Internet users.

As on date wallpapers are not only limited to the wall of your room, there are a majority of computer users that have a pretty decent library of them and keep on rotating on their desktop screens. Traditional wallpapers might have lost some of its popularity, but desktop wallpapers are becoming increasingly popular by the day. Not to mention that more than 90% of these are from celebrities, showing different dresses. They help in bringing new fashion and latest designs of dress designers. Now-a-days you do not need to make any wallpapers from a scanned image, there are already plenty available in abundance and their quality is amazing. Some of these wallpapers give a feeling that the celebrity is just about to speak or jump out.

Female celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Angelina Jolie, and Jessica Alba have also become staples in most wallpapers. The temptation of seeing a beautiful celebrity like Jolie and Alba has encouraged many to make use of celebrity wallpapers for their desktop background. Of course, it is more visually appealing to make use of celebrity wallpapers compared to using animals or complex artwork, for instance.

Proof of the popularity of these celebrity wallpapers is the number of websites offering free celebrity wallpapers. In the past, Computer users had to make do with pixilated and poor quality pictures of celebrities for their wallpapers. There were also instances when computer users scanned magazines where pictures of their favorite celebrities were published. There were not enough options for computer users in getting the favorite celebrity wallpapers.

A lot of things have changed in recent years. For one, it is a lot easy for computer users to get a wallpaper of their favorite celebrities. All they have to do is to go to an online search engine, type in the keyword “female celebrity wallpaper” and within seconds they will be provided with a list of websites offering wallpapers of celebrities.

The good part is that there is a comprehensive listing of celebrities that have wallpapers. There’s a good chance that your favorite celebrity is included in the list. Your favorite movie or TV actress is sure to have their own wallpapers.

Try to go online now and visit a number of celebrity wallpaper websites, and spice up your desktop within seconds.

Cecilia Valenzuela asked:

you contact a celebrity? If you are interested in learning the eight easy steps to help you contact any famous person, then read on because it really is not that difficult if you know the eight easy steps.

Maybe this is more than just a hobby for you and you have a very good reason why you need to discover how to contact celebrities.

You should be happy to learn that the steps to discovering how you can contact any celebrity is not a difficult task and it doesn’t take any special skills, knowledge, or association with someone who has celebrity connections.

There are many reasons why you may wish to contact a famous celebrity who live in Arizona, Florida, Texas, Washington, New York, or any other state or country.

Even if you are just hoping to get an autograph or an autographed picture of your favorite famous person really does not matter.

There are many reasons that people may wish to contact famous people other than the obvious, which is often finding out just where some of their favorite actors, actresses, or professional athletes live.

Some of the reasons that many people are looking for reality TV stars, actors or any other famous person, might have to do with a charity raising event in which money is raised for a good cause through the donations or bids placed for an autograph of a famous star.

Here are the seven easy ways to discover how you too, can contact celebrities or increase your chances at getting a response. So please read on.

First, enclose a photo of yourself.

Second, do not send any gifts, money or any food items to your celebrity.

The third easy step is to consider enclosing 3×5 index cards as this will increase the chances of getting your additional items autographed.

Fourth, include a letter acknowledging the star’s accomplishments. Certainly, you will want to make sure that you do your homework. Make sure that you research the celebrity’s accomplishments to make sure you have the correct information.

Fifth, if you are writing to a celebrity in a foreign country, include with your request, three to four International Reply Coupons (IRCs). Make sure that you include these items inside the envelope for the return postage.

Sixth, type your letter. If you write your letter, make sure that you write it neatly which will increase the odds of your letter getting read.

Seventh, double-space your letter and remember to include both your name and address.

One last thing, you need to be patient. As hard as it may be, you need to realize that your famous actor or any other cherished celebrity is likely very busy. Do not become frustrated and give up hope. The great thing is that if you take action with these steps, many of these celebrities will often respond very quickly.

Celebrities! Love them or **** them, but they’re everywhere. Every time you turn on the television you find celebrity news, and every time you go on the Internet you’re stuck with celebrity pictures – either the celebrity itself or his or her baby. Something that this, that, or the other celebrity has done has made the news, yet again.

There are also a lot of questions as to whether some of these people are actually ‘celebrities’ at all. People like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie are mostly famous for being famous, and people like Donald Trump are not really ‘celebrities’ in the sense that he isn’t an actor or singer. Without considering things that way, however, and by just looking at who’s on the news, in the papers and magazines, and on the Internet, the list below encompasses the people that most of society judges as the 10 most annoying celebrities.

1. Paris Hilton

2. Nicole Richie

3. Ashlee Simpson

4. Avril Lavigne

5. Carrot Top

6. Tom Green

7. Kevin Federline

8. Britney Spears

9. Michael Jackson

10. Donald Trump

The only problem with this list is that there are plenty more where that came from. Many, many Websites exist where there are long lists of celebrities and other famous people who are found by a lot of the ‘normal’ people out there to be very irritating.

If the idea of celebrity news and celebrity pictures has got you down, there are ways to vent your frustrations. Websites exist that allow you to vote for the most annoying person. These include celebrities, but they also include other ‘famous’ people – or infamous people – like Osama bin Laden and others. If a person gets enough votes he or she is on the most annoying list, and you can also vote for people who are least annoying to add to that list, as well. The top 100 or less are usually listed on these types of sites.

Some of them offer celebrity pictures and celebrity news but most of them don’t because those are the things that the people who vote there are trying to get away from. No matter who you are or which celebrity you like (if any), there are people who find the people you like very irritating. There are arguments between both friends and enemies about celebrity news and celebrity pictures, whether they think they’re annoying or not.

People of all ages enjoy celebrity antics and behavior. Even if we **** to watch the latest drama out of Hollywood, it is still hard to turn away when the latest blurb pops up on the evening news. Some of us get a quick fix of the latest starlet drama via entertainment news programs, and others simply scan the headlines at the grocery story.

Still others area more diehard fans and they may frequent celebrity websites or subscribe to magazines that specialize in the latest gossip. However you get your fix of what the Hollywood girls are wearing (or not wearing!) these days, there is a way you probably haven’t heard of – online paper dolls.

Celebrity Dolls?

Many celebrity watchers, or devoted non-watchers who keep up with the gossip to prove how non-interested they are, are realizing what a lot of teenage girls have known for years. Paper dolls have moved online and they have gotten much more interesting. The paper dolls of old are long gone, and online paper dolls have styles you wouldn’t even think possible.

Most of these websites, such as TheDollPalace.com, are devoted to girl dress up games, and some of the most popular of these are celebrity dress up games. Some of the most prominent stars on television and movies have been used as a model for a base doll, much like an online Barbie, and you can spend hours dressing your favorite Hollywood starlet. There are outfits appropriate for every day or adoption wear right on up to the Academy Awards.

More on Celebrities

The girl dress up is not the only celebrity item on these sites by any means. If you really know your celebs, you can take a stab at various contests that run through the site. For example, a great many dolls have already been created showing starlets in their award show finery. All you have to do is figure out which doll belongs to which star. There are also occasional articles that pertain to celebrity gossip or news items that can be a fun way to kill time every now and again.

Your Celebrity Wardrobe

Even if you’re not celebrity obsessed, you might be interested in looking a bit more polished. Most celebrities spend a great deal of time on their look and consult a stylist for major wardrobe purchases or hair style changes (with one notable exception.) You may not be able to afford a stylist, but you can track what the celebrities are wearing and build your own outfits right on the site.

Try out the latest looks of the season on a doll of your choosing to see if you can piece everything together and come up with something truly fashionable, yet uniquely you at the same time. After all, imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but nobody wants to become a Hollywood clone.

Gossip Gluttons: How We Fell in Love With Celebrities

Paul McIndoe asked:

David Beckham’s latest hair cut; Russell Brand’s latest conquest; Paris Hilton’s most recent bout of bad behaviour - it’s impossible to turn on the TV or open a newspaper without being bombarded by rumours, hearsay and the occasional fact about celebrities. But why do we have such a fascination with fame, to the point where we’re more interested in the lives of others than our own friends and family?

Stories that would otherwise be of no interest to us seem to take on massive importance as soon as the subject matter is a pop-star or famous actor; “John Smith’s New Lover” doesn’t raise much interest, but substitute “John Smith” for Jennifer Aniston or George Clooney and suddenly it’s a front page news story that everybody wants to read.

One of the reasons for our love affair with celebrities is that we invariably perceive their lives to be more interesting and eventful than our own. The typical ‘A’ list celebrity may own a private jet, several plush properties in various desirable locations around the world and have a garage full of sports cars while rubbing shoulders with other big names, and it is this so called “celebrity high life” which so many people are fascinated by and aspire to.

But there also seems to be an element of jealousy involved, and thus gossip magazines seem to revel in the misfortunes of celebrities - delighting in highlighting their bad fashion tastes, wrinkles or cosmetic surgery.

Celebrity culture manifests itself in through many forms of media; celebrity news magazines, gossip rags, tabloids, TV and radio interviews, internet forums, and of course in day-to-day conversation amongst ourselves and whilst modern communication has facilitated the propagation of gossip on a far greater and quicker scale than ever before, the culture of celebrity worship has a long history.

Thousands of years ago, fame was gained through leadership, bravery in battle, or a sporting deed. Some of the first celebrities were Greek Olympic champions, and were given the equivalent of today’s red carpet treatment. TV was a long way off from being invented, but the equivalent notoriety was gained via commissioning hymns of praise to be written about them by famous poets, which would then be performed in their honour. Later in history, when theatre became the popular mass media, actors and playwrights such as Shakespeare were the vehicles for celebrity status.

A huge proportion of media is given over to the worship of celebrities, and for the foreseeable future, it seems this will continue to be the case, as our love affair with gossip shows no signs of ending any time soon.

Celebrity Divorce Proceedings Require Heightened Privacy, Sensitivity and Attention

Tony R. Bertolino asked:

Our American culture is one that has become obsessed with all things celebrity.  We often know more about the love lives and personal struggles of the top Hollywood movie stars, sports figures and athletes, and singers in our country than we do about members of our own families.  Moreover, all of this information can be gathered just from standing in line at the grocery store.  We have television programs—even entire networks—that are dedicated to tracking the day-to-day lives of celebrities and public figures.  For some reason, the interest from readers and viewers seems to be heightened when the celebrity or public figure is going through a rough period in his or her life.  Just think about the fascination with Britney Spears’ infamous meltdown during which she adopted a carefree hairstyle, did some damage with an umbrella, and lost custody of her children.  Those images were plastered everywhere.  Patrick Swayze is currently battling with courage against an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer, but the tabloids cannot wait to publish photos of him looking like his death is imminent.  What is it about us that create such a fascination with watching others fall?

One area of celebrity life in which the public interest is particularly peaked is the difficult decision that two people make to file for a divorce.  Every couple that decides to split faces difficult emotional and legal struggles.  Add to this a media spotlight that scrutinizes every detail of the divorce proceedings and a public that determines the probable cause for the animosity and the guilty parties and you have what can quickly become an unbearable situation for the participants.  Whether appropriate or not, there are countless high-profile celebrity divorces that have captivated our attention.  Elizabeth Taylor was one of the frontrunners in achieving the media spotlight on her many divorces.  More recently, we have gone through the sagas of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, Paul McCartney and Heather Mills, and countless others.  Just rectnly, Mel Gibson and his wife of twenty-eight years have announced that they will be getting a divorce.  Web sites and talk shows are already buzzing about how this legal settlement will be the most expensive in celebrity divorce settlement history.  There always seems to be a new celebrity relationship ending in a volatile fashion to satisfy our appetites for gossip.

What often gets lost in these stories is the fact that two very real people, with emotions and feelings, are caught up in the circumstances.  There also may be innocent children involved who did not ask to be celebrities and now face the possibility of seeing their parents’ personal arguments splashed across the evening news.  Child custody and divorce attorneys who work with celebrities must be aware of the heightened need for privacy concerning all documentation that is printed and every conversation that takes place within office walls.  That is why it is so important to hire the right law firm.

The law firms that are representing each party in a celebrity divorce must be certain that confidentiality agreements are signed by all employees involved in the case, that shredders are handy and used often, and that computer files are secure from hackers and simply those in the office who have no business seeing sensitive material.  We all know how much money certain publications are willing to pay for a single piece of paper that may reveal an unsavory detail about a public figure or Hollywood celebrity.  And, once a celebrity divorce client leaves a divorce attorney’s office and heads into the courtroom, there are additional issues of privacy that must be addressed.  A lawyer who is working as the best possible advocate for his client will petition the family law court to close the proceedings to the public or seal the paperwork associated with a celebrity case.  If a complete sealing of the records is not permitted, efforts should be made at least to keep private the specific documents that could be damaging to a client’s reputation.  Whether fair or not, the public will take very painful episodes that occurred between two people and use this information against a celebrity even if his ability to excel in his chosen field has no connection to the allegations.  Even worse, the court of public opinion often will not wait to discover if the assertions made in filed court documents are true before rendering their own verdict.

With this greater need for privacy concerning celebrity divorces in mind, there is an additional component to consider beyond the standard confidentiality that exists between every attorney and client.  The reality is that a celebrity’s public image or celebrity status is often crucial to his or her continued success on the ball field, stage, or in front of the camera.  Beyond simply reaching the best divorce settlement or result possible for the client, an attorney who is representing a celebrity during a divorce must handle the client’s image and how information concerning the legal proceedings is being distributed to the media.  The divorce lawyer representing the celebrity must suddenly adopt the additional role of public relations expert in maneuvering through this delicate environment.

An estranged spouse with a grudge or a former employee who was privy to family secrets can be very dangerous to a celebrity who has carefully created a perception for the world to see.  On the other hand, personal assistants, agents, and managers who are happy with their celebrity employers and want to ensure that they continue to have success in their chosen fields are some of the best resources when building evidence in a divorce case. Who better to vouch for a celebrity client’s schedule and personal priorities than someone who helps to plan his every move?  Divorce lawyers must know how to work with these important witnesses to establish a sense of trust and confidence and then assist these representatives in molding a positive image of the client to news and other media outlets.  When working with a celebrity client, the divorce attorney role necessarily extends well beyond the courtroom or office setting.

Law firms representing celebrity clients should have extensive experience handling the sensitive issues that are specific to celebrity divorces and child custody cases.  Such divorce lawyers must take extraordinary measures to maintain their clients’ privacy and work with them to craft that all-important good standing in the public eye.   Law firms representing celebrity clients should share the primary commitment to protecting their high-profile clients.  They should work as a legal team to ensure the uninterrupted protection that celebrities require.  This holds true from the moment a celebrity is assisted with a discreet entrance into our offices, through the negotiations that take place between all involved parties, and even after a settlement has been reached and signed.  When you combine this extra step with the dedication and aggressive representation that our provide to every client, regardless of whether or not his face is recognizable to the public, those who are experiencing the painful steps of the divorce process can have confidence that their case will be given thorough attention.

Celebrities and others with large marital estates (most are multi-million dollar estates) who have a great deal at stake, both professionally and financially, should make certain that the attorneys they are hiring to guide them through a difficult divorce are prepared to take those extra steps that are needed in these unique circumstances.

Top 8 Celebrity Sunglasses Exposed! - What are the True Favorite Brands of the Stars?

Shade Sultan asked:

According to the data gathered over a three month period from Sept 07 to Nov 07, the most popular sunglasses worn by today’s leading celebrities in order of ‘sighting volume’ included Ray-Ban, Oakley, Dior, Gucci, Oliver Peoples, Tom Ford, Prada and Chrome Hearts.

Over this period 154 celebrities were tracked wearing 51 brands of sunglasses in dozens of models. Repeated occurrences of one celebrity wearing the same glasses were not included in the results. Over this period 154 celebrities were tracked wearing 51 brands of sunglasses in dozens of models. Repeated occurrences of one celebrity wearing the same glasses were not included in the results. (Sorry Britney!)

For the data driven among you, Ray-Ban with 35 celebrity sightings outpaced their nearest competitors by almost 2 to 1, with Oakley and Dior showing up on 20 celebrities each. No wonder Oakley bought Ray-Ban! If you can’t beat ‘em - buy ‘em! A detailed grid of the results is shown below.

The stragglers were Gucci with 18 sightings, Oliver Peoples - 17, Tom Ford - 15, Prada - 12 and Chrome Hearts came in last at 10 sightings.

Considering the average cost of these individual brands (at least for this review) these numbers are not surprising. The average price for a pair of celebrity Ray-Ban’s is about $120. The Chrome Hearts sunglasses are a little steeper, averaging $500 a pair.

The cost of these sunglasses varied from a low of $50, seen on Britney Spears sporting a pair of convenience store sunglasses (Anthropologie’s Glamorama) to the most outrageously expensive pair from Nefarious called Auric, flaunted by the ubiquitous Lindsay Lohan with a slightly higher price tag of $30,000.

As many consumers tend to buy what their idols and icons are wearing, supposedly in hopes of recreating the ‘A list’ effect, it is interesting to find that the average pair of celebrity sunglasses doesn’t cost nearly as much as you might think.

Although market research in the U.S. places the average pair of sunglasses for both men and women in the under $30 range, men actually spending somewhat more than women, a huge consumer market exists for higher end sunglasses and there are dozens of players vying for their piece of this enormous multi-billion dollar market. Why else would Luxottica pay $2.1 billion for the purchase of Oakley?

So what does it really cost to look like your favorite celebrity? Throwing out the low and high end sunglasses mentioned above, the average retail price of pair of sunglasses as seen on America’s most famous celebrities was actually only $269.

Now for most folks from the heartland that is a tidy sum to be plunking down in the hopes that someone will mistake them for Britney, Jessica, Lindsay, Angelina or Brad.

But considering this youth oriented culture has tens of millions of youth oriented consumers (including those aging baby-boomers from the sixties and seventies) who shell out hundreds, even thousands of dollars for brand name blue jeans, sneakers, t-shirts and jackets, not to mention alcohol and sports drinks, make-up, jewelry and handbags, the above price tag looks almost reasonable.

So if everyone will just Digg into your piggy banks and look under the sofa cushions and scrape together about $300 (don’t forget the sales tax) we can all toddle on down the our local Sunglass Hut and spring for another pair of celebrity sunglasses to replace the ones you sat on last week.

Here are the detailed results in table format.

Brand____________Avg Price____No of Sightings

Chrome Hearts____$500________10

Prada____________$225________12

Tom Ford_________$300________15

Oliver Peoples_____$350________17

Gucci____________$250________18

Dior_____________$390________20

Oakley___________$120________20

Ray-Ban__________$120________35

Bibin R. asked:

Many people can’t seem to get enough of anything that has to do with celebrities’ news, gossips, scandals, fashion, and lifestyle, just to name a few. All these are captured by celebrity pictures, whether celebrities like it or not. TV and movie stars have no way of escaping the prying eyes of the paparazzi. Every move celebrities make even in their private moments is always caught on camera. Photos of stars in their most glamorous or most unflattering looks grace the pages of various celebrity magazines and websites.

Celebrity photos have been popular especially during the World War II, when GIs pin up on barrack walls pictures of female movie stars wearing either one-piece swimsuits or low-cut evening gowns. According to historians, the fascination of Americans with celebrity photos started with the illustration “Gibson Girl” that landed on the pages of a magazine in 1887. Prior to the Internet boom, people were content seeing images of celebrities on magazines and movie posters. But nowadays, it’s easy to access celebrity photos on the Internet. You can view and download photos of Hollywood stars in just a few minutes. Or you may download a Bollywood actress picture if you adore Indian actresses. All it takes is just a few clicks on celebrity websites that can provide hundreds of celebrity photos in various shapes and sizes.

People love to view celebrity photos, even to the point of being overly fascinated with the who’s who in Tinseltown. Surfing the Web for Hollywood actress pictures has been a national pastime for men and women alike. Some people make hobbies out of celebrity photos by using them as desktop wallpapers. In particular, teenagers usually like posting photo printouts of their favorite actors, actresses, and musicians on the walls of their rooms.

Why are people so interested with celebrity pictures? Pictures of celebrities have entertained people across the globe as much as their acting, singing, and dancing prowess. Viewing a photo of your favorite star gives you an enjoyable distraction, helping you get through a busy, routinary, and tiring day.

But compared to talents, pictures have a more visible and lasting effect. It’s because pictures immortalize celebrities. Even after the death of immensely popular stars, their memories remain alive. Also, photos instantly elicit various reactions. How many times have you wondered why a certain actress always wears horrible gowns on the red carpet, or why a young star has suddenly become skinny or overweight? A celebrity’s personal life, usually depicted on photos, bothers you even if you know too well that it’s none of your business.

Although they appear like demigods on the screen, celebrities are “humanized” on photos. To some extent, celebrity photos give fans a glimpse of how certain superstars make a lapse in fashion, speech, or manners. To satisfy people’s curiosity, photos also show the appearance of Hollywood stars when they’re away from the limelight. For example, some Hollywood actress pictures show that certain celebrities can still look hot and attractive even without makeup. Photos of pregnant celebrity moms as well as celebrity hunks babysitting their children are just as popular. Thus, celebrity photos prove that actors and actresses despite their fame and glamour are humans just like everybody else.

Lina Smith asked:

Celebrity scandals discovered through the latest gossip on celebrities and backed up with pictures of the celebs on front page tabloids, produce jaw dropping OMG I can’t believe that happened reactions in supermarket lanes across the world. If you knew the life of the people standing behind you in that supermarket lane – you just might start following them instead of the celebrity scandal filled tabloids.

The latest gossip on celebrity scandals with the sometimes manipulated pictures of celebs are just mirrors of society. Celebrity scandals are created with the latest gossip and mixed with pictures of the celebs and topped with scandalous topics that fill the courts, bedrooms and hospital rehab centers around the world. Teen pregnancies hardly make the news. Real people have sex, do drugs, party, fight with their best friend, have an affair, fight for custody, divorce, get arrested in a bar fight, and enter rehab. Celebrity scandals exist in your neighborhood – but without the celebrities.

We look at Hollywood celebrities and pictures of celebs involved in the latest celebrity scandal, we hear the latest gossip surrounding the celebrities lives, and wonder why are these beautiful rich people succumbing to the problems of the real world. Maybe they’re people too. Real rich people. Rich people who should be role models – and who should have a clue that the world is watching them. But celebrities also suffer from being needy for attention, low self-esteem, obsessiveness, compulsiveness – and the effects of their environment. Just as a child raised around drugs is more likely to do drugs – a celebrity raised in Hollywood is more likely to “do as Hollywood does” - and that’s party. There’s no doubt that partying leads to loose inhibitions, addictions and celebrity scandals. And celebrity parties are great for finding the latest gossip and snapping some unsuspecting shots of pictures of celebs participating in questionable actions.

Celebrity scandals promote the celebrities. Celebrities don’t choose their problems – but they can turn their problems into a healthy and beneficial promotional tool. A drug scandal can turn around into an anti-drug campaign. An anorexic celebrity will sell more books on “how to heal thyself” than the teenage girl down the street. And that celebrity book might just save that anorexic teenager. The celebrity jailbird picking up trash because of a judge’s order can now become an environmental evangelist.

Not all celebrity scandals can be turned into a healthy promotional tool – but pictures of celebs plastered over celebrity websites, tabloids and entertainment channels keeps the celebrity in full view of the public’s eye – so the celebrity can’t be forgotten. Can anyone truly forget Brittney Spears while she’s in the news – even if they really want to?

Celebrity scandals powered by the latest gossip and unforgettable pictures of celebs are just pictures of reality television videotaping the inside lives of everyone in the local supermarket express lane. But celebrity scandals are safe. (And more fun.) We can talk bad about celebrities and nobody’s feelings will be hurt. We can pity the celebrities because we know how they feel. We can love them or **** them, but chances are we’ll never meet them. A celebrity scandal without our involvement and only our opinion makes celebrity scandals easy on the soul.
