I don’t think they are but I don’t watch them often.
If you have favorites, you get to know a character more in soaps. Women base attractiveness on more than looks. That might be why more they are more attractive to you, you have become attached to their character.

I just think in a lot of cases, we get to know the soap actors better. But honestly, the best ones, Sean Connery, Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford, Sam Elliot, Kevin Costner, Bruce Willis, you know, all the great actors, I know I’m leaving out a ton, …all the really **** ones, no soaps here. These are the guys that make us wanna climb into the screen.

I think soap opera stars consider attractiveness of their actors more important than their acting talent.
Movie stars need acting talent to get into motion pictures, looks aren’t so important.
Though I think some young/new movie stars doesn’t really have talents, just looks.
